This is a really amazing escape if you're in the valley. Only an hour to two hour drive and you get some amazing scenery and it's close to Payson which is a cute little town. Flush toilets are a bonus. With the showers were back and working. Campsites are a bit to close for my taste but it's not to bad. Will definitely be back!

Our camp host David was friendly and supporting of our large group. When there was a question about camp fees, Loretta was quick in her response and supportive of our needs. The facilities and bathrooms at this campground are immaculate - you can tell there's a real pride in the experience that guests receive at this campground.

I had a pleasant stay at Houston Mesa. I was horse camping and my horse was nervous off by herself. I checked with the camp host and he made sure I was registered and allowed me to move to an empty site by other horses. The sites were very clean, parking was easy. I took my own water, but there were fill spigots through out the park. The restroom were great also. Horse back riding is limited, but there is alot of beautiful riding in the area to trailer to.
