Great campground with good distance from highway, well spread out campsites and clean. Lots of nice trees and vegetation and birds in the area. We had spot 13 in Oak Looo next to pit toilets and only complaint is they smelled pretty strong in afternoon no so much inside but from exhaust pipes in building possibly overdue for a cleaning. I fee the USFS doesn’t do the best job on this type of maintenance.

A very nice campground, very clean and well maintained, does need some hiking trails. Would definitely go back.

This spot was great. We were hosting a party and had 45 people attend. The spot was perfect for this. It had a great Ramada with lights, a bathroom that was clean, great fire pit area, and plenty of room for everyone. The camp hosts were so friendly and helpful but not over bearing. Will definitely do this again!

The campground is excellent and quiet during the week. Fire wood is not sold at the campgrounds due to policy changes. Fire danger was high so campfires were out anyway. Their policy that makes campers leave a day early or pay for two days if you want leave on Saturday is very inconvenient and tramples on the first come first serve ways of the past. makes me wonder how long a motel or restraunt would last with that policy (sorry we have other guest that need your table so you will have to leave before you are finished).
I have not used the Kiosk to pay for a campsite so I dont know if it takes cash and gives change. Or if I come in on Friday night for a one night stay, would I have to pay for saturday also like they are telling people that make reservations in advance.

Very quiet. Camp host was helpful and available. Grounds are well maintained. Didn't use bathrooms so I can't comment on that.

Too many rules and people around to enjoy a night in the forest. Recommend driving a few miles to camp on the rim.

I stayed weekdays Mon- Fri departure. The site was very clean, the host was friendly, the toilet was always clean and fresh smelling. Water point was very close to my site. No loud noises, except very early morning traffic on US260 was noticeable ... but not terrible. My second stay in this campground, I suspect I will visit again.
