The place was really crowded, generators running all night. Very windy

We enjoyed the campground and scenery. The weather was perfect and our campsite very spacious. Wish Apache Trail access was maintained better but we will still be back for more fun!

A gem in the desert! But a slow, washboard, dirt road 5 miles in. Also, we reserved 3 nights only, even though wanted 5, because nothing left. Yet when we got there and spent 3 days, many reserved spots were NEVER redeemed. By the time we were going to move, over night people came in and took all. Very disappointing. A sign in the park entrance says if the reserved spots are not taken the first day they lose. Camp host wouldn't honor it?! Even spots were 1st come 1st served. Don't know what we'd do next time. It was well worth the dirt road in.

It’s a beautiful camp site. Fairly clean. I wish that more sites were available for reservation. A lot of better located and more spacious sites were left open and we would have preferred to use those instead. The outhouses were nauseating. If there’s some way to vent that away from wafting up into the stalls, that would be so nice. Maybe a solar fan and a tube to suck the air away from the building.

The campground is decent but all spaces don’t have covers over the picnic tables. Ours did not and it was a bummer when it rained. Also, one of the restrooms had such bad odors (ammonia) that I couldn’t breathe.

We reserved space 39 but moved to a first come first site, 44. It’s our favorite spot but beware it gets really windy. Our trip was perfect. Campground was a lot busier than our previous trip but everyone was very nice. Once again, I can’t say enough good things about the campground hosts. Excellent people, very helpful and do a great job keeping the campground clean and safe. This is definitely our favorite camping destination we have found. This is the first time we took our dog and everyone obeyed the leash rule.
