So happy we were able to reserve our spot before they changed everything to first come first serve...it would really stink to drive 2 hrs to find out you can't get a spot. Jeff, the camp host was awesome! Clean restrooms and they must have added a tower because this year we had 5g service!

Beautiful Spot, the bathrooms and showers are serviced daily and well maintained. The campsites were free of trash. The campground host was friendly. There were more weeds this year than previous years in the campsites, but they were tolerable. The reservation system online could be more user friendly, and campsite maps would help. The lake is beautiful and mostly clean. Cell phone signal was very good, an upgrade over previous years

At Coati campsite the handicap shower works, but not well. I've reported this problem several times over the last 3 years to the campground hosts, to the park rangers, and the at the visitors center .Nothing gets fixed. Two nozzles: the top one mostly works okay, but the bottom nozzle doesn't work at all. Same is true with the handicap shower in the men's shower according to the men in my family who use it. Perhaps I need to report it to the Office of Americans with Disabilities. We reserved our spots on line but had a problem with the couple who refused to vacate once their time was up for our reserved spot. Fortunately, there were other spots available. There is no one to intercede when there is a problem like that. As for the positives of Coati campground, the hosts were very nice: Robert and Jeff. Everything was clean, sanitized, and swept. Each time we go (frequently) everything has been clean (except for the cigarette butts and other assorted small trash left lying on the ground by careless campers ). I suggest you bring a small rake for your tent spot and picnic table. Drivers were mindful of their speed because children were out playing and riding their bikes and scooters. There is a nice playground on the lower loop. Campers from other campgrounds drive over to use the showers and restrooms. We always go the Coati, especially since Coyote is still closed, apparently forever. Hope this helps you.

This place is just amazing. The views of the mountains and the lake were spectacular. The sites were well maintained. Restrooms cleaned daily. Though pretty packed, it was quiet at night. Camp hosts were super helpful and checked sites. Highly recommend!!

Excellent campsite and the hosts are awesome, we went as a group of 15 and all camped in the same site. Flush toilets were super clean and we enjoyed the stay

We stayed at the Coyote loop for two nights. It is a very nice campground with great views of the Roosevelt lake during the day, and dark sky at night for watching the stars, close to Tonto national monument and the town of Globe. Restroom was very clean. But you better bring a flashlight with you since the light inside was controlled by motion sensor, and it turned off very quickly.

Loved the campground. But the ground level plants with millions of stickers were sticking all over my dog. No way to get away from them. View was good. Neighbors were friendly.

Beautiful views of Roosevelt Lake and the surrounding hills. Campground was well maintained, clean bathrooms, friendly camp hosts. Great weather in the winter months, can get very hot in the summer. Great for bass and croppie fishing when the water warms up.
