What Guests Are Saying
Grapevine Group Campground offers a beautiful setting with stunning lake views and friendly campground hosts who provide helpful information upon arrival. However, the ongoing issue with the lack of running water and limited restroom facilities has led to some concerns about hygiene. While the campground atmosphere can be disrupted by loud parties, many visitors still had a great experience and expressed a desire to return.

I understand that the restrooms and showers were turned off, but when they turned off the water spigot, then it becomes a health problem. There is no way to brush your teeth, wash your hands from the pit toilets, or clean your cookware. Its just a disgusting way to camp. The new campground host did not manage the groups after it got dark and one group decided to drink and party as loud as they could with a DJ and speaker system going on all night until 1pm. They only turned it off when we had to walk over and talk to them. Not a safe thing to when people are drinking. (There is no such thing as loud partying in a public campground) GO RENT AN ENTERTAINMENT HALL PEOPLE.

The camping hosts were incredibly nice. When we arrived, they were waiting to welcome us and provide all the information we needed. They also had to break the news that campfires weren’t allowed—something that wasn’t their fault, as the Recreation.gov app hadn’t updated that restriction.
The campsite itself is gorgeous, with a beautiful view of the lake. Although the regular bathrooms are still out of order, there are two temporary restrooms that were very clean.
Overall, we had a great experience and would love to come back!

The area is very nice, the campground is set up well, the camp host was friendly and helpful. All that rates a 4 to 5. The problem is NO WATER! Beautiful restrooms with no water. The water has been out in this campground for over 2 years - in is time to fix it!

All of Grapevine group sites no longer have running water, and to fill up your camper and dump after your trip you'll need to find another campground (e.g. Windy Hill or Cholla). The did bring in 2 porta poties for each group site so that was good. Campground hosts stopped by and very nice people. Cost of the group site was much more affordable than individual sites at Windy Hill so overall it worked out good, I wish however they'd get the water situation fixed and open up the rest of the group sites at Grapevine since most are reserved far in advance it can be tough to get a group site.
