Cholla Campground is highly praised for its friendly hosts, clean facilities, and beautiful scenery, including stunning views of the lake and surrounding landscapes. Campers enjoyed various amenities like playgrounds for children, well-maintained bathrooms, and easy access to walking trails. We had not visited Cholla before and were very happy with the physical facilities, the campground hosts were wonderful, and the views from our campsite were amazing. There was enough vegetation cover to partially block our view of other campers, and everyone was obeying the rules about late night noise.
Two things I want to mention. First, the RV dump is open 24/7, not only Sunday and Tuesday. Secondly, in the campsite information when selecting a site on Recreation.gov, some of the specifics about the sites was incorrect. I had originally booked 185 and 187 on the information that RVs would be able to back into the campsite. However, before we arrived we discovered that all vehicles at those two sites had to park on the road. Fortunately we were able to switch to another site that would accommodate all our vehicles off the road.

Great campsites, phenomenal views! Loved hiking down to the lake, good workout. Trail to boat ramp also fun and picturesque. Campground is easy to get to, campground well planned and campsites easy to back into with a trailer. Very very clean! Already booked another trip.

The campsite we selected was not fit for two vehicles or two tents. When we moved to a first come first serve site we were told we needed to buy a day pass and our reservation payment would not suffice. I had to buy $50 worth of parking tickets for a $25 site and received no help or leniency. I should get a refund.
