I was super unset about paying 25 dollars a night plus tax for a camping spot that was supposed to have showers and restrooms instead we get there and the showers are closed because of a water leak and the have porter potty's instead

This is a really nice campground in a great location. The sites are large, have covered tables, and are well-spaced. It took us a while to find the path down to the water, but it's there and the "beach" area is great. I do wish the sites had views of the water, but it's easy to get down there once you find the path. While here, definitely worth renting kayaks on the lake (or bringing your own and launching from the site!).

This is a really nice campground in a great location. The sites are large, have covered tables, and are well-spaced. Beautiful place to camp. Very few campers were there at this time. So I feel our camp site should have been cleaner. Trash and leftover food under the picnic table. The website mentioned when booking that the showers would be closed but in actuality the restrooms were closed leaving Porta potties to use. I might have chosen a different place to go knowing this. It was however very nice to have the 24/7 open dump station!

It was clean site, and pretty spacious. We haven’t seen a host at all- last night some campers very loud till 3 am which I would expect a camp host to do something about.

Cholla Campground is 5 miles north of Roosevelt Dam. From Mesa: Take State Hwy. 87/Beeline Highway north for about 60 miles to its junction with State Hwy. 188. Turn right and follow State Hwy. 188 south for 28 miles to the site. From the Globe area: Take State Hwy. 188 north for 30 miles to its junction with State Hwy. 188. Continue on State Hwy. 188 across the bridge for 6 miles to the site.

General
- Maximum stay limit is 14 days within 30 consecutive days on the Tonto National Forest including dispersed areas. During June, July, and August temperatures reach well over 100° and many RV air conditioners cannot keep up. Maximum trailer length is 32'. Extra (second) vehicle charge of $8 per night is required. An RV towing a car counts as one vehicle and a vehicle pulling a trailer counts as one vehicle. There is a maximum of two vehicles at a single family campsite and four vehicles at a double family campsite. An RV towing a car counts as one vehicle and a vehicle pulling a trailer counts as one vehicle. Fee can be bundled with online reservation or purchased on-site at fee machine. Maximum of 2 vehicles per single campsite and 4 for double campsites.Boat ramps are usable when water elevations are higher then 2,110 feet.Fireworks are always prohibited on National Forest Land.
