Nice campground with well spaced sites. Easy access to water activities, and some hiking and biking near by. Only complaint is that showers still do not have hot water, and some of the prime camp sites are not reservable (first come first serve).

Very clean and quiet space to camp. Clean restrooms and the surrounding areas.
Close to the water for fishing from shore or boating.

Cholla Campground exceeded our expectations. We stayed in the Christmas Cholla Loop. The site was large, clean and level for setting up our camper. The views of the surrounding mountains were magnificent. We loved the hiking trails that we accessed right from the campground. The bathrooms were clean, even though we didn't need to use them, we checked. The dump station was convenient and well functioning. Potable water was also available. We stayed in early March. Drove out to Apache Lake on the Apache Trail. Visited Globe and checked out the city's cool historic district. Saw many UTVs. We didn't bring ours, but there are many off road trails in this area to explore. Can't wait to get back there again. So much to explore and do in the area. Thanks for a great and memorable camping experience!

Will, apparently the sole person left on staff and not a Tonto National Forest Ranger, did his very best to cope without the usual staff present. So, high kudos to him.

Will is a great Host who was always available and willing to provide any assistance needed. He walked the Teddy Bear Loop many times per day to keep things in order. Excellent and very involved.

Beautiful views from the site, including a bench overlooking the lake, and incredibly kind and helpful camp host. The composting toilet facilities are nearby and clean with no notable odor. The parking for the site is pull through, but on the main road, which would be challenging for some rigs.
