Campsites were spaced nicely. Not many campers there this time of year.

Nice place for a weekend getaway that's not too far from Phoenix. Not crowded at all (January) but restrooms and sites were clean.

Decent campsites but pretty close together. The water was low so the fishing near the campsite was next to impossible due to the whole shore line having trees in the way.

Camp host was one of the best person I have met in all the campsites I’ve visited.
Some of the water spigots were not good to attach a water hose to fill up my tank on my trailer.
It would be nice to have a dump in the campground somewhere as well.
Overall I will go back again

Thanksgiving is a great time to go camping to roosevelt lake. Windy Hill has spacious tent campsites. We were a short hike the lake on windy hill and had a beautiful view from our site.

Campgrounds were clean. Staff friendly and helpful. Experience was great. One minus is generator hours were abused by a few...running all night long. We asked camp host about who enforces the 10pm generators off. He said it was sort of his responsibility but that you have to be careful not to offend anyone. Honestly the 95% who did NOT have their generators running ALL night long were the "offended" ones. Other than that I would highly recommend Windy Hill Campground.

The showers are still closed due to Covid-19. Disappointing, but understandable,
