Visited the campsite during the holiday and it was very quiet, our family were the only campers in the area. Everything went well and we had no complaints, will visit again.

There is no hot water in the showers at
Coati campground, so I went across the road to the other open campground and the hot water didn't work there either.

The cleanest campground I’ve seen in quite sometime. That’s saying something considering the general attitude of today’s campers. Camp host Mr David Iosom was very visible and quite pleasant at every interaction with my wife and I. Our site was extremely well kept and the toilets were exceptional. It was obvious that he is dedicated to the responsibilities of his position. I’m looking forward to choosing Windyhill for another memorable outing.

We stayed in Coyote loop, where sites have good views of the lake and there’s a boat ramp. It was maybe 1/4 full on weekends. Clean and quiet. The restroom buildings and shower building were clean. During winter there’s no limit on days you can stay and you can run your generator any time (which is fine because it’s not crowded or noisy). We plan to stay here again.

I was surprised that there were not more people camping during our time there. We kind of had the place to ourselves. The others that were there were very friendly. The park host was very friendly and talked with us about the area. We were able to go to the cliff dwellings and due to a cancelation, I was able to get on the list for the upper cliff dwellings. It was an excellent hike and one I highly recommend. The park Ranger leading the hike was very knowledgeable and made it very interesting.
