Large, nice campground with MANY pull -through sites. Some can be reserved and others are first come, first serve. Facilities seem to be nice, though we didn't use them. Very close to the Tonto National Monument! Water spigots with handles in the up position are actually turned off, not on. Different from what we've seen before. Dump station and water available along with quite a few boat ramps.

This is a great location, and this is the 2nd time we stayed over the New Year's holiday. The sites are kept clean and so is the bathroom. Each site has at least one tree and there is a good bit of distance between sites.

Unfortunately, campground rules were not enforced regarding quiet hours. One camper used a generator overnight, all 3 nights we were there, despite the 10 pm-6 am quite time rules posted at the entrance. Our 3 campsites were all kept awake while the generator droned on and on. I spoke twice to the campground host, who informed me that the rangers told him that nothing could be done if the generator was left on due to use of a c-pap. I'm not sure if that's true or not, however, there are many other ways to handle c-pap use: 1. use a battery pack. 2. pick a spot away from other campers. 3. stay in a campground that has electrical hookups.
It was really unfortunate that our entire group of 3 campsites could not enjoy quiet in nature, nor get sleep, due to one camper's inconsiderate choices. It's disappointing that the rules are not enforced so that all may enjoy.

I have been camping here for at least a month every year for 27 years. I have watched this campground go downhill the entire time. There were two redeeming factors this year. For the first time in 6 years, the showers worked with somewhat warm water. The camp hosts, Mike and Paulette, were, once again, wonderful. We spend 3 months camping each year at different campgrounds all over Arizona. While all camp hosts are usually very good, Mike and Paulette are the best we have ever worked with.

Great experience . Went with two small first timers (8 and 5) both had great time . Park was a lot of fun and lots of hiking . S’mores and campfire cooking . Area clean and inviting . Even with a little rain still a lot of fun. Will return soon.

Everything was great except the area in the campgrounds at each site needs to mowed and cleaned up.

Lovely staying by the lake. Not windy on the day we went but have heard it's called windy hill for a reason! Lots of gnats and bugs but overall a wonderful site!
