Everyone was super friendly even after I accidentally took the wrong space. The site was beautiful and location friendly to Sedona. Also the camp hosts dogs were sooo cute

My wife and I absolutely loved our 3 nights at Manzanita. It really felt like a small community, with everyone eager to say hello and share some stories. If you can, get a site by the creek so you can fall asleep and wake up to that pleasant sound. We stayed at #s 11 and 12, which I think are the two best. Enjoy your experience, and take it slow as you approach -- the two entrances really sneak up on you!

Absolutely no privacy at all. Not even in my car. Right next to the Highway. So it was not quiet at all. Didn't see any wildlife at all, maybe because of people's dogs. Other than that it was just o.k.

We liked our campsite #14, but campsites are too close. No privacy from next campsite. Very near the stream. Not too close or too far from the bathroom. Bathroom wasn't as clean as other campsites I've been to. Male host was very nice. When we got there, someone was in our parking stall. Apparantly, people thought our campsites were FCFS, but ours was reservable. So, the people setup camp first before checking with the host or reading the occupant's name on the camp sign. They had to breakdown after realizing the campsite was already reserved,

From Phoenix, take I-17 north to Exit 298 for Highway 179. Take 179 north to Sedona. Turn right (north) onto Highway 89A in Oak Creek Canyon and travel 6 miles to the campground.
From Flagstaff, take I-17 south and exit for Highway 89A toward Sedona. Travel 23 miles south on 89A (a winding mountain road) into Oak Creek Canyon. The campground is located just south of Slide Rock State Park.
The campground is accessible via I-17, with Exit 298 for Highway 179 leading into Sedona. Highway 89A runs north from Oak Creek Canyon, providing direct access to the campground.
Elevation: 1828 feet
6.9 mi drive to downtown Sedona (about 13 min)

- Tents only; no oversized vehicles, trailers or RVs allowed
- Bring confirmation letter to the campground
- Only 1 vehicle allowed per site. No additional parking available.
- No hookups available
- No horses or off-road vehicles allowed; motorbikes may only be used for entering and exiting the campground
- No radios or amplified devices allowed

- Don't Move Firewood: Prevent the spread of tree-killing pests by obtaining firewood near your destination and burning it on-site. For more information visit dontmovefirewood.org.
- No portable showers or toilets allowed in campground
- No cutting, chopping or splitting wood within the campground
- Campsites must be occupied first night of reservation
- Campsite cannot be unattended more than 24 hours
- The camping stay limit in Red Rock District is limited to 7 days
