Beautiful campground, with wooded campsites. Sites are small but have lots of trees. Nice little creek running behind campground provided a relaxing sound backdrop. bathrooms were pit toilets and were clean.

Nice campground. Would definitely come back. Unfortunately the 89A road was closed from campground to Sedona so it was really out of way to get to Sedona.

Near Sedona, however was not informed of ongoing construction until day before my stay. Would have been nice to know before hand that the site would be inaccessible from the south for the majority of the day.
Signage for the campground from the south side needs improvement as it is very easy to miss at night.

It was great camp. I am sure will be back next summer but I am wondering why they charge $8 extra. More expensive than Grand Canyon national park.

We Stayed in this campsite Since Thursday Nov/23-Nov/26. We stayed in campsite #14 for one day then we moved to campsite #15. This place is so pretty, the campsites are pretty big, enough space to fit more than one tent. We have a 12x14 tent and we still had a lot of space left. The host are very nice and accommodating. The most beautiful place is when you walk to the end where the creek runs, it’s so pretty and relaxing. It’s also very close to the town and many beautiful hikes like Birthing cave, The devils bridge and Boynton Canyon, those are just some of the many hikes that are close by.

From Phoenix, take I-17 north to Exit 298 for Highway 179. Take 179 north to Sedona. Turn right (north) onto Highway 89A in Oak Creek Canyon and travel 6 miles to the campground.
From Flagstaff, take I-17 south and exit for Highway 89A toward Sedona. Travel 23 miles south on 89A (a winding mountain road) into Oak Creek Canyon. The campground is located just south of Slide Rock State Park.
The campground is accessible via I-17, with Exit 298 for Highway 179 leading into Sedona. Highway 89A runs north from Oak Creek Canyon, providing direct access to the campground.
Elevation: 1828 feet
6.9 mi drive to downtown Sedona (about 13 min)

- Tents only; no oversized vehicles, trailers or RVs allowed
- Bring confirmation letter to the campground
- Only 1 vehicle allowed per site. No additional parking available.
- No hookups available
- No horses or off-road vehicles allowed; motorbikes may only be used for entering and exiting the campground
- No radios or amplified devices allowed

- Don't Move Firewood: Prevent the spread of tree-killing pests by obtaining firewood near your destination and burning it on-site. For more information visit dontmovefirewood.org.
- No portable showers or toilets allowed in campground
- No cutting, chopping or splitting wood within the campground
- Campsites must be occupied first night of reservation
- Campsite cannot be unattended more than 24 hours
- The camping stay limit in Red Rock District is limited to 7 days
