The facilities, including clean bathrooms and the proximity to Big Lake, enhance the camping experience, while the spacious group sites cater well to families and friends. The campground itself is very well-maintained, but unfortunately, the weather was so windy that it was unpleasant for all outdoor activities. However, the boat rental concession leaves a lot of room for improvement. The fishing boat we rented for half a day was in bad shape, and the motor kept cutting out repeatedly. That and the fact that there were whitecaps on the lake from high winds, and no fish biting, made for a very disappointing experience.

Staying here was a real treat. The campsites on Aspen Loop opened up to the woods behind, a great place for dog walks. The showers were clean, modern, and hot, although only open 7AM to 7PM. I wish I could say the fishing was better at Big Lake, but it was eithe4r too windy or too warm Definitely coming back again.

Weather was great, trash containers and restrooms were very convenient. I’d recommend staying here if in the area. Hosts were courteous.

I love this campground.

It was incredibly windy the two weeks we were there. I had no idea this area could be so windy and incredibly dry. A full bottle of lotion and really good chapstick is needed for two weeks for sure.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. However, I have a problem with the Apache/Sitgraves National forest. I have stayed in space 84 3 times in the last 2 years and the fire pit is still damaged. It needs to be repaired or replaced. The fire pit needs to be moved 4-6 ft to the northeast as it is too close to the RV for use. It would damage the RV.

Hosts were friendly. Bathrooms and showers were kept clean. It would be an improvement if soap was available in the washroom.
