Always one of our favorite campgrounds. Disappointed only because campground facilities were not open due to Covid. We'll be back next year. What is the soonest date that we can reserve a stop for next year. We would like a full hook-up spot but they are usually taken early.

The campground is well maintained and we enjoyed how spread out the sites were. Some sites had a little shade, but ours didn’t. (Site 33). Unfortunately due to a fire ban we couldn’t have a campfire, nor a charcoal grill.

Overall, Apache Trout is great. This time, the garbage dumpsters were closed, the restrooms were closed, and there were no campfires allowed. I understand the reasons based on dry forests and COVID-19. Other than these inconveniences, our experience was great. We have been to this campground many times and always enjoy it.
