What Guests Are Saying
Apache Trout Campground is a well-maintained, beautiful location with friendly and helpful hosts, making it a favorite for annual trips among many campers. The facilities, including clean bathrooms and the proximity to Big Lake, enhance the camping experience, while the spacious group sites cater well to families and friends. Some minor inconveniences, such as locked showers at night and occasional noise from neighboring campers, have been noted, but overall, visitors appreciate the serene environment and excellent service.

*The camp hosts are friendly and helpful. They do a fantastic job having camp sites cleaned up and ready to be occupied and keep all the "common areas" picked up and clear of trash.
*The potholes DESPARATELY need attention. Nothing has been done to fill/fix them in quite some time... 2 to 3 years at least! People are driving the wrong way to avoid the areas.
*It would be nice if the showers were turned on again.

The campsite is gorgeous and the hosts are fantastic. Only complaint is the company refuses to open the showers. Why is it ok for everyone to use the same bathrooms with the showers, but not the showers? If you are tent camping you can pay $8 per shower in a different campsite, but they expect you to shower with your family at the same time!? Creepy. They do this because they don’t want to clean the showers after each person goes. Even if they are in the same family sharing a tent! Sorry, not showering with my kids. Oh, and they charge each of you $8 to share a shower. Please get it together and open the dang showers

It was good after a long year of not being able to go anywhere. great to get out again. Space was clean, our fist time at this spot and with a new trailer. Set up was trick ground dose slop back to front, need a lot of leveling block if you have a trailer with solid axle. satellite reception Good I could not get FM or AM radio. and no phone.

Love Apache Trout campground.....so sad the Covid restrictions were in place and we were not allowed to use the showers....
Folks working around the campground are very nice, and of course, the weather is beautiful .....

The facilities and the Camp Hosts were great. Unfortunately, we had to leave a bit early due to the wild fires in the area. Always a great place to visit; thus is why we camp there 2-3 times a year :)

We come back year after year. The past 3 years we moved up from tent camping to camping in a trailer.
Never did we say, we didn’t enjoy our time no matter which style of camping it was.
Looking forward to the next time we can get back to Big Lake and Apache Trout campgrounds!
Thank you Lou & Kim Pernatozzi.
