Bonita Canyon Campground is praised for its picturesque setting, well-maintained facilities, and clean restrooms, making it a favorite for many repeat visitors. Campers appreciate the spacious, shaded sites and the beautiful hiking trails nearby. However, some reviews mention issues with noise from neighboring campers and a few negative interactions with campground hosts, indicating that privacy can be a concern. Overall, it's regarded as a beautiful and enjoyable camping destination.

For very cheap (and they accept Access pass discounts online) you get a clean toilet, epic environment AND you are not far from the visitor center IN the actual park near many of the trails. We use the disability access spot; within minutes we were asked if we needed medical equipment electricity by the on-site supervisor-very friendly about the many strict rules, but all rules were understandable.-only fires are wood/charcoal on their grills and you bring your own-no collecring local wood.- Often we see wildlife- a few birds have become too brave from people disobeying, but they were mostly funny. The views are driveable, wheelchair to another view, but you need help getting the main bathroom door open to get in at the site- just enough room to wheel in- we are only partial wheelchair users, so it went fine. Most trails are too advanced for wheelchairs and walkers- note that this is a rock formation mountain park.

The campground was really nice and peaceful! It was quiet at night and I loved being so close to trails for daytime adventures.

Not an RV friendly campground.
Difficult access in and out of the campground.
Low hanging trees at nearly every site.
Obscure generater hours; only allowed between 8am-10am & 4pm-6pm.
Whoever determined these generator hours should reconsider to more typical hours.
We were the only ones in the campground other than the hosts; yet we were not allowed to use our generator outside specified hours.

The campsite was spacious, flat tent beds, convenient to water and bathroom, nice and open. The place itself is always wonderful as you can tell by it being our third time here despite living in New York
