What Guests Are Saying
Bonita Canyon Campground is praised for its beautiful setting, clean facilities, and well-maintained sites, making it a lovely and peaceful place to camp. Hikers enjoy the breathtaking views and trails nearby, and the campground's quiet atmosphere enhances the overall experience. However, it has limited space for large RVs, no cell service, and some sites can be quite close together, which may be a downside for some campers.

Camping in Bonita Canyon was awesome! The camp itself is a small one, but the surrounding nature is just beautiful. We got a campsite near the restrooms, and although the restrooms are being renovated, they still have port-a-potties there to use instead. Our campsite had a grill, a picnic table, and a flat squared off area for where tents are supposed to go. The campsite was clean and comfortable for our overnight stay.
When we got to the canyon, we stopped at the visitors center to check-in and to get a map of the hikes in the area. After finding the campsite, we then decided to do the echo loop trail. Wow, what an awesome trail! We then went back to camp for a little breather. After that, we went up to Massai point and watched the sunset. It was so beautiful!
It was definitely a fun time and we would absolutely go back!

We really enjoyed the campground and our site. The tent pad for the site was in a nice setting and was in good condition. We appreciated the short hike along the trail from the campground to the visitor center, especially as the bathrooms were under construction and many of the water spigots were off.

The campground was beautiful! It was very well maintained. But the reason I didn't rate it the highest, was during our time there, the restrooms were under construction and portable toilets and sinks were what we had to use. I understand that construction needs to happen, and often there is no good time and people will be impacted. But I didn't get notice of this till the day I arrived. Notice would have been really helpful if I got it way more in advance. So this is not a criticism of the amazing campground. I am writing this to those that send out notifications to campers. Thank you, we will be back if we are ever down that way again!
