What Guests Are Saying
Bonita Canyon Campground is praised for its beautiful setting, clean facilities, and well-maintained sites, making it a lovely and peaceful place to camp. Hikers enjoy the breathtaking views and trails nearby, and the campground's quiet atmosphere enhances the overall experience. However, it has limited space for large RVs, no cell service, and some sites can be quite close together, which may be a downside for some campers.

Bonita Canyon is beautiful and I enjoyed the campground for 3 nights. If you are relying on solar power only, the campground doesn't have many campsites with good sun exposure. Use the trail head parking lots to get your batteries recharged.

Excellent campgrounds. Didn't see a bad spot while walking around. Clean, well maintained and the bathrooms are heated (was chilly in the mornings).
Appreciated the dog friendly trails by the campground and Faraway Ranch. Massi Point, Echo Canyon and Sugarloaf have excellent views from parking lots if you are not a hiker. Go early because the parking lots are small and they fill up fast. Staff at Visitors Center were very helpful and friendly. Have visited the Monument twice (both in the winter) and plan on making it a yearly camping destination.

Very small campground, so writing a positive review is like giving away the location of your favorite fishing hole. Has become a regular stop on our trips to AZ.

Quiet campground with nice facilities and convenient access to the trails. CO’s were very helpful especially the shuttle bus driver.

It was not easy to use Rec.gov to get reservations. You cannot get internet at the campground and it is not clear how to use the app. The camp host was considerate and helpful. The campground was clean and quiet

Great campground inside the Monument. Sites are small and a challenge for larger or longer vehicles. There is no dump site, tank fill, electric hookups or shower facilities so plan ahead.
