What Guests Are Saying

Kaibab Lake Sites and Group Areas is a well-maintained campground, offering spacious sites surrounded by beautiful trees and wildlife, including squirrels and birds. Visitors appreciate the clean bathrooms, friendly hosts, and proximity to amenities in nearby Williams. However, the lake is currently very low, which has disappointed some campers, and noise from nearby roads can be an issue for tent campers.

The grounds were beautiful and well maintained, I wish we had more time to explore the area as we were only camping for one night. The bathroom facilities were clean and serviced, and the staff at the entrance was extremely friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that the overnight road noise is some of the loudest I've ever experienced while camping. Probably not an issue if you're in a camper, but for tent camping it was obscenely loud. I can't decide if I was hearing standard road noise or if there just happened to be construction while we were there. Unlikely to return to this particular site due to the road noise.

Beautiful campground close to town. Most sites are nicely spaced however many sites are extremely unlevel and many have picnic tables on the wrong side of where doors open on RV ‘s. Our site was a back in site but that put our door facing the road and not our picnic fire pit area. So if that matters, pay attention when choosing a site. Camp hosts were friendly and professional.

The hosts do an excellent job maintaining this campground and the ones we chatted with were very kind! All of the roads and sites are paved, spacious, and nicely spaced out from on another. The campground was quiet and peaceful amongst the large Ponderosa Pine forest, but still very close to the town Williams for amenities like groceries, propane, gas, ice, breweries, etc.

I docked one star because Kaibab Lake is very much not a lake anymore, it's a puddle that is not boatable and not fishable. This campground is also very overpriced for what it is... we have stayed at over 100 forest service campground and most forest service campground we've stated are between $17 and $26 per night for literally lakefront or riverfront sites. So $32/night for this campground that doesn't have the lake they advertise having is very disappointing and overpriced, they're also very strict about having additional cars and people ($16/night for additional car).

The campground was very nice, very clean and well maintained. However, the lake had a lot to be desired. The lake was so low that it was like a mud puddle.

Great location. Very clean and tidy. Pit toilets were well maintained. Staff was friendly. Very quiet. Site we had was well shaded. Not many activities on site but if you're doing a day trip to the Grand Canyon its only at 1hr drive away. Williams is also a great place to visit, only 10minutes away. Would come back for sure!
