What Guests Are Saying
Spring Valley Cabin & Bunkhouse is praised for its beautiful location, well-equipped kitchen, and cleanliness, with many guests planning to return. Wildlife sightings, including elk and chipmunks, add to the cabin's charm, making it an ideal spot for family gatherings and outdoor activities. However, concerns about rodent infestations, particularly in the bunkhouse, and the need for maintenance, such as window screens, have been noted, indicating that management should address these issues for an improved experience.

Beautiful area. It was winter with small amount of snow on ground. I expected the road to be closed but it was not. Not very clean but I anticipated that would be the case. I could make a phone call out. Difficulty sending text. Will stay again in the future.

Loved the location. It was easy to find. The drive in November (no recent rain or snow) was easy in a 4x2 truck. The cabin wasn't super clean, but we didn't expect it to be. The fridge, stove & heater all worked fine. We had no problem staying warm at all. We may stay in the future.

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin, although we had to clean twice. The people prior to us left the cabin only in a semi-clean state. Other than that, it was a lovely retreat to break away from our "electronic lives". No TV, no radio, and very little cell coverage, although we did get through enough. Cabin has typical kitchen supplies, but was surprised at no microwave...not that I use one, except to reheat coffee or water. Cabin is plenty warm with space heaters and fireplace. Items we should have brought to make life a little easier: blender, an axe (they don't supply one) and a chef's knife that's actually sharp. The axe would have helped to split the large wood pieces into smaller kindling. Items we did bring to make it a bit more enjoyable: Extension cord for more outdoor lighting at night, board games, and favorite book or magazines. There are two picnic tables available, and a long stretch of driveway if you're target practicing with a bow or blowgun.

I Couldn't ask for more. The prices are affordable and you have everything you need. You do not need to spend lots of money to have a day full of activities with your family. The only thing they changed is the minimum night from one to two, and that makes it more difficult for us in our budget. Wish we could get it for only one day like before.

We go to Spring Valley Cabin every year in October for our annual squirrel hunting trip. We love this cabin, and it accommodates our 7 plus family perfectly. We always rent the bunkhouse and my kids love playing school inside it. I would highly recommend this cabin! My only regret is that it is so close to the road and whenever a vehicle passes by, we get blanketed with a layer of fine white dust. October is an awesome time to go, it's not too hot, or too cold and sometimes it rains so the dust is controlled. This is an awesome cabin and we will continue to rent it for years to come.
