Review: Encore Mesa Verde RV Park – Yuma, AZ
We are no strangers to Thousand Trails / Encore RV parks. We’re from the Pacific Northwest, where Thousand Trails began operations 55–60 years ago. Because of that, many of the parks we frequent are among the oldest in the system, and we understand that age often means dated infrastructure. In fact, some of our favorite parks are Thousand Trails / Encore properties.
Unfortunately, our recent stay at Encore Mesa Verde in Yuma was disappointing.
It had been roughly eight years since our last visit. While the park does have some appealing features and photographs well, the reality is that it is very old and visibly dilapidated. Much of the infrastructure shows its age, and overall maintenance appears lacking.
Our frustration began at check-in. After arrival, we were directed to our assigned site, but there was confusion with the lot manager about which space we were supposed to occupy. After backing in and fully connecting—sewer, electric, and water—we were approached by a third-party vendor and told we could not remain there because repairs were being done on a neighboring RV, including paint spraying.
The office manager was very apologetic and explained she was not aware of the work being done. While she did not personally assign the next sites, she deferred to the lot manager to relocate us.
The lot manager, using his golf cart, directed us to a second site. As we began connecting there, he returned and informed us that we could not stay in that spot either because the electrical pedestal was not functioning.
We were then directed by the lot manager to a third site.
Later that evening, after dark, a neighboring camper knocked on our door to inform us that we were actually in their assigned spot. This resulted in multiple people outside late at night trying to determine which RV belonged in which site—after already being moved several times that day.
While the situation was eventually resolved, the experience left a poor impression. The repeated relocations and conflicting site assignments suggest a lack of coordination between office staff and lot management.
We’re not saying we would never return, but it is highly unlikely we would choose this park again unless meaningful improvements are made

Gone here for years including this year, but now that they allow dogs and love Dogs almost more than people it’s gotten out of control, people walking there Dogs and allow them to piss and crap on your site that you pay for is just not cool. ( don’t get me wrong dogs have their place and it’s not in my space) not sure if I want to go back before change is implemented. Just saying it was better before they allowed stupid dogs into the park.

I recently purchased a park model here.
This is my third Yuma resort park, and I must say this is by far the best managed park.
I also like that there is a criminal record check to own here.
It is not only well managed but also clean, quiet, has multiple facilities of entertainment, pool, jam sessions, it has a great clean gym, two pools, and hot tubs.
The people are so friendly and helpful.
I certainly recommend it here.

We stayed 14 days with our motorhome. Loved every minute, people were very friendly and actives for everyone. We did the line dancing class offered on Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 10 am.
I absolutely loved the 2 pools and the hot tub and spa. Both pools are warm, 1 just slightly cooler. The hot tub was wonderfully nice and hot. I can't say enough positive vibes we felt. 💕❤️🥰👍

I’ve have lived in this park for 4 and 1/2 years. It has to be the absolute best park in Yuma, from the price to the awesome amenities. .We have 2 beautiful heated pools., 2 hot tubs. and new secured men and women’s bathrooms with new showers. There are plenty of activities like pool , including shuffle board and including a weight room and workout equipment . The people here are friendly and kind especially the management . Hugo the maintenance person keeps this place clean and neat. He is also very friendly. They recently hired a new maintenance person who is doing a great job . I think his name is Andrew. Tammy and Talia the office managers are awesome and gave us some nice new upgrades . Painted the whole office and entertainment room , put secure locks on the pool bathrooms , and re paved our roads. . . All for $3700 a year!! There are a few places for sale. Come check us out.
