We love Alpine Ridge. I wish the Corp would do some maintenance on the sites. Half of the sites are busted and it makes for a dangerous walking and setting up camp. I was on site 36. We had friends on sites 41 and 42. Each of those have busted and uneven sites for setting up your RV. It would be nice to have a smooth pad even if it was Rick would be better than busted asphalt. There is a large hole in the middle of the road that was there last year. There needs to be a speed limit signs on the loop. With a full campground, the people, children and pets are not safe with some of the vehicles that drive extremely fast. Please please do some updating of the RV sites for safety reasons.

The park is very well maintained overall. This was our 4th year to come here. Grass was not overly high, and campsites were clean. The showers have amazing water pressure! In the past the bathrooms were always VERY clean. This time however, in the 5 days we were here, I only saw someone at the bathroom to clean once. (And we were in site 47 right across from bathrooms) The shower floors were not very clean, there was a big hairball that I noticed in the same spot 4 nights in a row, and the drains would back up during shower.
We saw a ranger drive through a few times. Never once did we see a camp host.

Nice quiet campground. All sites can see the lake. Sites are fairly level, bath houses conveniently located. Decent playground and swimming area.

Nice quiet place to get away from it all. Lots of people, but lots of room. Clean showers. Nice host.

We had a wonderful time and we definitely want to come back. Our granddaughter learned to ride a bicycle without training wheels while we were there. We made some wonderful memories.

The Alphine Ridge location needs updating.
The restrooms were not cleaned on a daily basis.
The shower drain had feces on top of the drain.
The restrooms were out of toilet tissue for several days.
Also, the hand soap dispensers have been removed. The hand soap dispensers need to be reinstalled. Why are y’all punishing all the paying patron’s by removing the hand soap dispensers because some parents were not able to take responsibility for their children’s behavior.
When I spoke with the “hostess lady Sam” about the restroom issues and inquired about a phone number to call and request the bathhouse to be cleaned and serviced she told me I’d need to speak with a park ranger to get that information.
The park rangers were very understaffed.
The beach needs a fresh load of sand.
A fresh load of sand would make the beach more enjoyable for the children. At this time the little children trip and step on rocks. The children will have memories of hurting their knees and feet on the rocks instead of happy memories of playing in the sand at the beach.
I understand the electrical hookups will be replaced this fall. I hope this rumor is true because our friends and family rented 5 spots and only 3 electrical spots worked properly.
The camper pads and picnic tables need to be updated and maintained.
Louisiana State Parks are staffed and very well maintained. Some parks even have air conditioned bathhouses and washer/dryer area.
Arkansas State Parks you can do better!

We usually really like this camp site on DeGray Lake but the lake is unusable in my opinion. The water level is really low and there is grassy moss all along the shore line. It is growing from the bottom up and laying on top of the water so its impossible to swim and almost impossible to get your boat to the shore at the campsites and then back out. You have to chop a path with the boat motor and then its wrapped all around your propeller. So very disappointing camping trip.

Nice campgrounds. Bathrooms were average just extra hot in them. They could put some exhaust fans in that would probably help
