Our tent site, as well as the others around we’re completely over grown and unmaintained. The grass was up to my knees in the center of the site. Not to mention the bricks around the tend pad were broken apart, leaving exposed rhubarb sticking straight up in the air. Very unsafe for a child to play. Everywhere else was clean and maintained, just not the tent sites. Very disappointed for it being such a busy holiday weekend.

Number 44 was a great site and had great weather for our tent camping weekend. Since it was a holiday weekend we made our reservation for three days but left early and we were pleasantly surprised to see a refund for one day posted quickly. Boat ramp area was easy and we were able to get our tandem kayak in and paddle the inlets easily w/o much large boat traffic. There was an initial issue with the neighbors two large dogs running the campsites not on leashes but the staff took care of that quickly. One suggestions for recreation.gov to incorporate would be to send a location map with the reservation. We were not familiar with this area and struggled a bit. But I would return to this area again!

It is written on the campground map that there are showers. In fact, they just don’t exist!
It is a shame when you have so many tent only sites...
