What Guests Are Saying
Edgewood campground offers a beautiful setting with scenic views of the lake and thick forest, making it a peaceful retreat for campers. Many visitors appreciated the cleanliness of the facilities, including showers, and the helpfulness of staff, particularly during emergencies. However, there are concerns about restroom cleanliness, maintenance of some sites, and the need for better communication regarding site amenities and accessibility. Overall, many guests enjoyed their stay and plan to return, albeit to different sites.

Quiet, peaceful, and the Edgewood hist will absolutely help you with anything if you need it.
Got dropped off right before a storm and my ride left me before helping with putting the tent up in dark.
I believe his name is rich? Or mitch? Anyways, seen i needed help, we got it up just in time before storms.
If not for him I would have slept under picnic table with all my stuff. Good man yall have there overseeing things.

When pulling a large RV watch out for other RVs on how they park in the sites because some of them over park into the road and you could hit them when you’re turning

It was nice and quiet! The only thing was we were under a burn ban and couldn’t have a camp fire! But all was great!

Site we selected was supposed to accommodate a 37+ motorhome with a. tow behind pull through. Not so much. Plus, the utilities were on the wrong side of the rig. We switched to a handicapped site and the slope from rear to front was a 1 to 4 slope on an old broken concrete slab. This site’s designation for handicapped is erroneous. There were other newly paved level sites NOT designated as handicapped that had only a tent camper on it so their car had a very nice parking spot. Until rec.gov campgrounds get more transparent with their sites limitations and campground layout, it will always be a guessing game.

Site #32 is a beautiful place.. BUT.. BEWARE..there is a big snake living in the downed tree stump that is directly in the middle of the campsite, I called the corps of engineers and was told that a park ranger would be out to take care of it. We were there for 4 days and he did not come out. I understand that snakes are out there, but, we have young kids and a dog, so we were constantly on edge, as it was SO close to our fire pit area and in order to walk down to enjoy the water we would have to walk around it. The snake was very active and sunbathing in front of its "home" a lot. There was also a bunch of maggots in the cracks of the picnic table that kept coming out even after thoroughly cleaning it multiple times making it impossible to use for our entire stay. I would suggest upgrading to either concrete picnic tables or the ones with holes throughout as well as removing the tree stump. If it weren't for those 2 things we would definitely be back!
