This campground is beautiful. Grass was a bit high, but that’s not an issue. Clean bathrooms and camp spots.

We loved this park. It’s right on the Arkansas River, next to the lock and dam. Sites are well spaced and have good shade. Corps was working on the lock so we didn’t get any barge traffic to watch but they were letting out water through the spillway and it sounded wonderful!

The staff is nice, the view is FABULOUS. If you can stay at the campsites A above the dam, it's quieter. If not, stay at the Campsites C away from the dam. Mostly it's nice campers, but on weekends or in the very cold, you can have a more varied crowd. Lock up, it's right near the main road.
