White Oak Lake State Park

I camped and hiked here, and saw lots of others fishing. Great camping sites, many with a lake view! Spots to pitch a hammock lakeside. Trails were nice and soft with all the sand and pine needles on the ground. Bathrooms/showers were clean, too. I'd definitely recommend!

My favorite spot is located just outside of the park on the backside of the lake. The trail head should be listed as Arkansas Little Grand Canyon • Chidester, AR

The camp sites were right on top of each other. There was space for 2 tents, even on the RV pads, which was nice, but were literally right next to other families. I think the worst part of this park is it is near maybe a gun range? The entire day we could hear people firing off various types of guns, and it was quite unsettling. They were going off even into the late evening after dark. So if you’re looking for a peaceful place, this is NOT it. There was plenty of area around the lake to fish, but also, the boat launch dock for the site is right next to the fishing area people were at, so it kind of sucked when you were fishing a boat would pass by- obviously not ideal. The whole time we were there, nobody caught fish, except of one person who left trash on the lake overnight with hooks. Because of all this, there’s no chance we’d go back, when there are much better parks in Arkansas.

This lake is so beautiful and the parks and camp grounds are kept in prestige condition. The hiking trails are absolutely a must, so gorgeous. Definitely recommend going 👌
