What a lovely place to camp. The sites are nicely situated close to the water and have electricity. The attendant who greeted us was so helpful and suggested that since the campground wasn’t full there was another site that might be easier for us to and even showed us how to change the reservation in our app. We would stay here again.

Iron Mountain was a one-night stopover on our travels to Texas. We were very happy with the clean facilities and nice sized sites. It is a beautiful campground.

Early season quite place. Had site 41 and liked it alot. Would stay here again. Beautiful area

General
- During the Non-Peak season certain campsites and loops will be closed. Reservations longer than 14 days will require an approved extension. Extensions can be obtained from a ranger, or the information board located at the entrance of campground.
- Camping at one or more campsites at any one water resource project for a period longer than 14 days during any 30 consecutive day period is prohibited without the written permission of the District Commander.
- If arriving more than 24 hours after the start of your reservation, call (870) 246-5501 or your reservation will be cancelled and a $20 no-show fee plus the cost of the first night's stay will be charged.
- Sanitation, No dumping of household trash, gray water, rubbish, black water or any other waste material or waste liquid. All waste generated must be disposed of at the dump station or removed from the project lands.
- Quiet hours are between;
- Daily occupancy is required.
- No off-road vehicles permitted.
- One tent and one RV or two tents are allowed per campsite.
- All pets must be penned, caged or on a 6 foot leash at all times, No Exceptions!!!
- Persons bringing animals onto project lands are responsible for the proper removal and disposal of any waste produced by these animals.
- Fireworks prohibited in campground
- Don't Move Firewood: Protect your forests from tree-killing pests by buying your firewood locally and burning it on-site. Visit Dontmovefirewood.org for further information.
