Beautiful site. Camping pad slopes slightly at the end but fairly easy to level. Believe the reviews that mention the ants and come prepared. I didn’t and did get ants in the RV. Even so I do believe that this place was worth it. I had plenty of room and really enjoyed my site. Very peaceful place.

We reserved 3 nights to stay. Only stayed 1 because there was a woman having a psychotic break next to us. She was cursing and screaming even after someone in a park truck stopped by. She then came at my daughter screaming she was going to beat her thinking she was her daughter. No one was ever in the checkin shack to assist and no one ever returned my call when I left a message for assistance or refund for remaining 2 nights

Bring ant spray. We sprayed all around campsite and they still got inside camper and even in our vehicles. Great campsite but bad ant problem.

What a lovely place to camp. The sites are nicely situated close to the water and have electricity. The attendant who greeted us was so helpful and suggested that since the campground wasn’t full there was another site that might be easier for us to and even showed us how to change the reservation in our app. We would stay here again.

Iron Mountain was a one-night stopover on our travels to Texas. We were very happy with the clean facilities and nice sized sites. It is a beautiful campground.

General
- During the Non-Peak season certain campsites and loops will be closed. Reservations longer than 14 days will require an approved extension. Extensions can be obtained from a ranger, or the information board located at the entrance of campground.
- Camping at one or more campsites at any one water resource project for a period longer than 14 days during any 30 consecutive day period is prohibited without the written permission of the District Commander.
- If arriving more than 24 hours after the start of your reservation, call (870) 246-5501 or your reservation will be cancelled and a $20 no-show fee plus the cost of the first night's stay will be charged.
- Sanitation, No dumping of household trash, gray water, rubbish, black water or any other waste material or waste liquid. All waste generated must be disposed of at the dump station or removed from the project lands.
- Quiet hours are between;
- Daily occupancy is required.
- No off-road vehicles permitted.
- One tent and one RV or two tents are allowed per campsite.
- All pets must be penned, caged or on a 6 foot leash at all times, No Exceptions!!!
- Persons bringing animals onto project lands are responsible for the proper removal and disposal of any waste produced by these animals.
- Fireworks prohibited in campground
- Don't Move Firewood: Protect your forests from tree-killing pests by buying your firewood locally and burning it on-site. Visit Dontmovefirewood.org for further information.
