I enjoy camping at this park. It’s small but the view is big and beautiful. I love watching the geese, ducks, herons, pelicans, and eagles! Decent bathrooms and well groomed sites.

The site is beautiful. And peaceful. Except, trains are too frequent and too close. It was fine for out purpose which was just overnight. The bathrooms need attention. They, especially the shower combo's, are getting run down and all were not clean.

Staff was very welcoming and the location was perfect on lake dardenelle. I'm very grateful for the stay! 5* in time showers could be upgraded but overall it's a perfect place to stop in relax and reset for the road!

The campground was nice. Most sites have a view of the beautiful lake. It was well maintained. However, there are train tracks extremely close. We were tent camping and the trains came steadily through all night long making it impossible to sleep. The map is misleading with locations of showers. I chose a spot next to what was marked as showers. The showers turned out to be at the other end of the campground. When we first arrived there was some type of disturbance and the police had been called. While we were setting up our tent the police showed up. There is a steady stream of cars that cruise the campground that are clearly not people staying there. This happened regularly through the night. There are only a few available water faucets. Most of these had been taken by people in RVs that ran very long hoses back to their RV making it impossible for others to use. If you are in an RV, not bothered by the sound of the train, and don't mind scarcely available water, then this might be a better experience. Most of the tent sites - including the one we had chosen - are not level and make sleeping a challenge. It is a beautiful campground, the sites and grounds are clean and well maintained, and the showers were great. It is also close enough to town for food or other supplies to be very convenient.

The Arkansas River is ever changing and is beautiful at sunrise and sensational at sunset! Quiet, once you get used to the trains and close to the Ozarks if you need more outdoor adventure .

We love Spadra. The campsites are mostly large and well spaced with views of the lake. There is only one bath house and it is a hike from D loop. Our site was very level but be sure to check as some have quite a pitch! This campsite is very easy to get to and close to a Wal-Mart:
