easy access and large quiet camp sites. good location for day trips to Mount Magazine, Mount Nebo and Petit Jean state parks. Wal-Mart close. Camp host Dale helpful with local suggestions. Be sure to go to Sweet Treats cafe in Lamar---yummm!

Pads were very unlevel-both front to back and side to side. Water faucet was so close to the ground that we could not connect the water filter to the hose. Lots of people driving through since there is no gate and no restrictions on who can enter. Disappointed that what we thought was a water front site was only water view. A 20’ drop from back of campsite to water. Friendly hosts. Bathrooms just okay-low water pressure and water not hot. Close to town for dinners/shopping

The park was clean and well kept. The camp hosts were very active checking on campers and trouble shooting. We had a great time

This is an absolutely gorgeous campground. It appears that every campsite faces the lake/river providing a beautiful view. We were there for 4 nights and I can attest to the fact that the park is regularly patrolled by the ranger, county deputies, and Clarksville police, all of which made us feel safe and welcome. There were 9 of us using 5 campsites. We were there for the eclipse.

Amenities are very nearby (Walmart and fast food, including Whattaburger!).

Two things keep me from giving Spadra 5 stars:
1. The bathhouse needs serious upgrading. The unpainted concrete floor was, well … wear your flipflops! Eeeww. Some of the shower β€œsuites” had benches and/or hooks to place or hang your stuff, but several didn’t have either.
2. Trains. The park is long and narrow. 50 yards or so North, bordering the entire length of the park is a single track Union Pacific mainline. The first night there we were awakened 6 times by freight trains rolling by, blowing their horn at the entrance drive to the park. Other nights there were 3 or 2 that passed in the night. Honestly, they didn’t last long and other than the first night we had no trouble getting back to sleep!

I am considering going back in the near future and taking my bass boat. It is a beautiful campground and the people fishing seemed to be hauling in some fish!

Always a nice park for camping. C4 is a mostly level site with great views of the river. Park hosts were very friendly and helpful. The trains running just across the street added a nice ambiance. We were there for the 2024 eclipse weekend and had wonderful views. Would probably be a good area for kayaking. Wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Spadra is a very nice park. This was our first stay and we booked our sites on-line. Upon arriving we discovered that we had booked to 2 absolute worst sites in the campground. They were on about a 10% grade and there was no way to level our camper. It was so bad that our refrigerator would not work. Campground hosts were nice guys and tried to accommodate us best they could. Was a perfect spot for the total solar eclipse. I would camp there again just not sites 5 and 6!
