What Guests Are Saying
Choctaw offers a beautiful and well-maintained campground with clean facilities and friendly staff, making it a pleasant spot for camping. Many guests appreciate the spacious campsites and scenic views, particularly in D-Section, and highlight the attentive service from staff like Ms. Jeannie. However, some reviews mention issues with bathroom cleanliness and a lack of water hookups at the sites, which detracted from their overall experience.

Most of the time (Monday thu Thursday) the shower facilities were clean. on the weekends they were not. All of the Campsites should all be concreted and have clean water and sewer disposal at each site. Been camping there twice a year for the last ten years and campsite in the D section needs some serious maintenance but COE doesn't care.

We were here for an overnight only. It is a beautiful place and easy to get to from 65. We stayed on a Monday night in April, so the park was very quiet and peaceful. The lady at the gate was very helpful. When she saw our rig, she suggested we unhook our toad and go look at our site, B14, before taking our 34' motorhome to the site, to make sure we were comfortable with backing in there. We loved the site and had no problem getting situated, but we appreciated her advice. B14 is really off by itself, but is near the marina and a group picnic area, so during busier times it may not be so idyllic. It sits on a rocky bluff with a very beautiful view of the lake, marina and sunset. The site is electric only. We were able to level easily when backed up about as far as we could. There is shade and plenty of extra parking for the toad. We would definitely return here, and would plan to stay longer next time.

It was a great experience over all. The trees were beautiful, the distance between campers was good but there was a few close ones. The people at the check in station were fantastic.
Over all I would stay there again if I ever get that far east from where I am at now.
