Beaver Dam Dive Shop & Resort

I recently spent the weekend at Beaver Dam Dive Shop & Resort while completing my Advanced Open Water Diver certification, and I honestly cannot say enough good things about my experience.

From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and taken care of. They truly have everything you need in one place to dive, stay, and be comfortable. The room was clean, comfortable, and a great place to relax after a full day in the water. The bathroom was spacious, which was a nice bonus, and there were plenty of breakfast, lunch, and snack options available throughout the weekend.

The diving itself was fantastic, but what made this experience truly special was the staff. Every single person was patient, knowledgeable, encouraging, and genuinely invested in helping me grow as a diver. They made learning fun and created an environment where everyone felt like part of the team.

What started as a weekend certification course turned into something much more meaningful. I gained confidence in my diving skills, earned my Advanced Open Water certification, and most importantly, I gained a family. The people at Beaver Dam are some of the most amazing individuals I've ever met, and by the end of the weekend it felt like I had known them for years.

I already miss everyone so much and can't wait to come back. In fact, this experience inspired me to continue working toward becoming a dive instructor someday. I would absolutely love the opportunity to return and possibly teach alongside the incredible team that helped shape my journey.

This is a but of an odd review probably as I know nothing of your business, and wasn’t even there during operating hours, but let me just say that you have the most amazing view of Beaver Lake, and about a month ago, we slid into your parking lot early one morning as we traveled from Eureka Springs over to Bella Vista (visiting both areas) and got the most beautiful pictures of the lake with a blanket of fog over parts of it! I’m not sure who maintains the side of the road across from your business, and keeps the view of the lake open, but kudos to them!

This was our first time to visit this shop. Tony was extremely courteous and knowledgeable. She took the time to explain and educate us while taking care of other customers. It was very obvious that she truly cares about the sport and her customers. A wonderful person who went out of her way to make sure we were taken care of. Wonderful experience!!

I’ve been a loyal supporter of Beaver Dam Dive Shop for years and have genuinely appreciated the service and community they’ve built. Unfortunately, my most recent experience left me feeling deeply disappointed.
As a dive instructor, I understand the importance of tank safety and maintenance. That said, being belittled and chastised for bringing in a tank slightly below 500 psi was both unprofessional and unnecessary. This kind of treatment not only felt disrespectful but was surprising coming from a shop I’ve trusted for so long. Even more concerning was hearing from a student of the dive shop I belong to being similarly reprimanded in an aggressive manner.
While I still respect the shop's contributions to the local dive community, I hope they reflect on how they communicate with customers, especially experienced divers and students who are still learning. Respect and professionalism should be at the core of every interaction. All that being said, I wish there were another shop choice for air refills. In the future, I guess I will just bring extra tanks and avoid doing more business with this shop.

I had an amazing experience at this dive resort last weekend! The entire team was incredible, from the friendly and welcoming staff at the shop to the outstanding dive instructors. Everyone was kind, patient, and truly passionate about what they do.

I’m so grateful for their guidance and encouragement. I couldn’t have asked for a better place to get certified. Highly recommend!
