Damsite River Campground is one of the few campgrounds that are open year round in Northwest Arkansas. The winter season is from November 1st to March 31st. During this time period the water at the individual campsite is shut off to prevent damage from pipes freezing. There is a potable water source at the park entrance to fill your fresh water tanks not far from the dump station. For the same reason the only restrooms that are open is the shower house in the Pines and the vault toilet by the boat ramp. The volunteers that take care of this campground do an excellent job.

The campground is divided into two loops - both have restroom/shower houses, but for some reason only one was open. It would not have been difficult to have one room open in the upper loop for the convenience of those camped near the boat landing.

Advertised as 50 amp, water, bathhouse. In reality, it had electric. No water. Bathrooms and showers were locked and closed.

Camp site was nice. Area is beautiful. Camp host was a nice guys. Dump site a bit of a joke, No sewer (but advertised as such. )

If they don’t have water, bathrooms, or showers, they should tell you.

Arrival & departure

Check in with the camp host at 4:00 p.m. and check out by 1:00 p.m.

Site capacity

Campsites can have either one RV and one tent or three tents.

Vehicles & parking

Parking is not allowed in grassy areas.
Off-road vehicles and golf carts are not allowed.

Safety & rules

Dumping of waste materials is prohibited; all waste must be disposed of properly. Shower and bathroom tents are not allowed.
Camping longer than 14 days in a 30-day period requires written permission; otherwise, it is prohibited.

Fees & deposits

A $5 fee per vehicle is required for non-campers, and failure to pay or display proof is prohibited.

Pets must be restrained at all times and cannot be left unattended; owners are responsible for waste disposal.
