Great campground but, riverfront I isn’t quite riverfront you have to climb down a.n embankment to get to the river. Nice bathhouse clean. Def would stay again. Close to town.

Dam Site River Campground offers a beautiful, shaded location along the White River, ideal for fishing with clean, well-maintained facilities. Many campers praised the spacious, private sites and the friendly camp host, making it a favored destination for repeat visitors. However, some concerns were raised about the early checkout time and the need for upgrades to the shower facilities.

Nice , quiet location with great pine tree shade. My only complaint is that the bathroom/shower facilities leave a lot to he desired, they need renovations badly.

Review is lower than normal, because the COE was releasing water from the dam for the 5 days that we were here which resulted in the river being 6-8 ft above normal, so we were unable to fish which was the reason for us choosing this campground. It would have been nice to receive some type of notice that the river was going to be elevated by the COE so that we would have had the option to go to a different park.
Additionally, there are paths to the river behind most of the campsites that back up to the river, but they are so overgrown that they are not usable. In speaking with other campers who have been the the campground before the COE used to keep the paths clear before covid, but didn't clear them out after the park reopened.
Our site was pretty unlevel. We used two packs of leveling blocks to get level.
On the positive side the bathrooms are nice and have A/C. Less than 30 minutes to Eureka Springs. Dam Site Lake sites looked nice.

We camped one night due to weather. We were at site 26 and loved it. We have 3 small kids and we’re definitely close enough to the bath house and the kids loved walking down to the river and watching the deer. Would definitely stay again
