Dam Site River Campground offers a beautiful, shaded location along the White River, ideal for fishing with clean, well-maintained facilities. Many campers praised the spacious, private sites and the friendly camp host, making it a favored destination for repeat visitors. However, some concerns were raised about the early checkout time and the need for upgrades to the shower facilities.

Great spots, all of them. Flat and level with electricity. Bath house is in the middle so a short walk.
Shower heads need lots of work but you do get hot water.
I have mentioned this in numerous reviews and I will do it again now: The Army Corp changed the check out time to give time to someone to clean campsites. I have every time I’ve been there (many times) found the sites with lots of trash in, around and in the fire ring. The first thing I do is pick up trash and lots of it. Our motto is leave it cleaner than you found it. IF you change your hours for cleaning purposes then go clean, please.
Love the campground and fishing.

Everything was nice and clean, well mowed. I just wish the attendant would come by the first day of our stay so we could get the pass so we could go and visit the lake side. We went fishing and had to purchase a day pass.

Great site. We appreciate the shade and that we didn't feel that the neighboring sites weren't too close.

The campsite was ok, extra points for the covered picnic table, grass/weeds on the perimeter were 3' high and should have been mowed, bathrooms were what you would expect at a COE campground, fishing was terrible and the river was full of moss as they hadn't generated or released water lately. We checked out a day early and should have received a refund but have never seen it and probably won't. There are better campgrounds in the area. First and last visit to this one.

Family trips to this river will always be our favorite thing to do. You must float the river. It is so peaceful. Campers are always peaceful.
