Park rangers need to be more active through the campsites. Many campers did not observe the quiet hours.

Dam Site River Campground offers a beautiful, shaded location along the White River, ideal for fishing with clean, well-maintained facilities. Many campers praised the spacious, private sites and the friendly camp host, making it a favored destination for repeat visitors. However, some concerns were raised about the early checkout time and the need for upgrades to the shower facilities.

The Folks at the gatehouse were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed hiking (short drive across Dam) and seeing the lake from above the Dam. The bathhouse was adequate. Our campsite was level, shaded and attractive. River access was somewhat steep but not a problem for us. Running water was not available at our campsite but was available at the bath house and gatehouse. Water is available at other sites. Keep this in mind when reserving a site.
