What Guests Are Saying

Eagle Rock offers a beautiful location near the lake, with clean facilities and friendly staff, making it a great value for camping. Many guests appreciated the well-maintained restrooms and easy access to recreational activities like swimming and boating. However, issues with noise from other campers and a lack of staff presence during peak times were noted as significant downsides.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Eagle Rock. The proximity to the lake was great, the hook up was easy, and the site was all that it was advertised to be. A great value!

Quiet hours were not respected. No one was really there to assist with complaints. We cut our trip short because we were unable to get rest due to lots of campers being loud and running in and out of restrooms. Little kids were just walking in on people in the bathroom on purpose and bigger kids forcing little kids in the bathrooms and slamming the doors constantly. This went on from 10pm to 8am. The kids were also bouncing a soccer ball off the walls. I had to get a refund from my bank because no one reached back out from recreation.gov to handle my complaint or refund. I guess they do not have a facilities manager either, even at the dock store they dont have anything to do with the campsites. Definitely the worst camping experience Ive had. We couldn't deal with another night after the same stuff started happening again the next night. We decided it would be better to just drive back to St. Louis so we could get a little rest before returning to our work week. I do not recommend Eagle Rock one bit. We missed out on quality time with my family this summer. So never again and thanks for asking....

The area is beautiful and the campground is conveniently located to other attractions. The downside is the uninformed staff at the gate. We were stopped and told we had to pay to dump our RV. We explained that our site was across the highway which is part of the campground. They argued with us that the sites across the road were not part of Eagle Rock Campground which is absolutely not the case. They demanded we pay the fee and even stood in front of our rig in the road. Rather than cause a major disturbance we paid it and left. This was our last time at the campground.

The cleanest restroom on our side by an amazing Marina. 4 stars because the highway is too close and very loud.

Set 42 was extremely difficult to get into. The water hook-up was so far away that I had to borrow a hose, even though I had two hoses.
