What Guests Are Saying
The Outlet Area campground offers a friendly atmosphere with helpful hosts, and many enjoyed their stays, noting the cleanliness of the bathrooms and good fishing opportunities. However, some sites were poorly designed for camping, with issues like crowded conditions, inadequate space for tents, and maintenance concerns such as overgrown grass. Overall, visitors appreciated the peaceful ambiance and beautiful surroundings despite some drawbacks.

A wonderful camping trip. I would suggest that a covering be installed over ALL the tables. Almost all do have a cover over them. It makes a huge difference with a covering over the table. It seems a lot of the shade trees are being cut down which is too bad. That makes it even more important to cover ALL the picnic tables. Thank you

Great camping! This was our 4th year to camp at the outlet area and it is now a tradition! We love the covered picnic tables allows you to sit outside comfortably even when it’s raining! Kids love to fish in the Petit Jean River!

Bob, the park attendant was great. Appreciate how knowledgeable and friendly he was showing us areas to see while we were in that area. Will be back next time next year hopefully.
