GeneralUSACE is planning the drawdown in a partnership with the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission is expected to begin May 1, 2026, when the lake will be lowered to elevation 374. The lake is expected to reach this elevation by July 25, 2026, and will remain at this elevation until Nov. 1, 2026. The lake will gradually return to elevation 384, depending upon rainfall. During phase two of the drawdown, designated swimming areas within the parks will be closed. Boat access will be limited to a temporary ramp located at Ashley Creek Park. Water activities such as skiing, tubing and the use of personal watercraft will be prohibited. Boaters visiting the lake during this time are encouraged to use extreme caution due to shallow water and submerged hazards. Love camping here! My family use to camp here every year when I was a kid! Only thing I wish they had was bathrooms and changing rooms close to the beach swimming area. The hill to the bathrooms is pretty steep. The campsites were clean and spacious. The bathrooms are clean and well taking care of. Will definitely camp there again.

One of the most beautiful parks. Kept clean and neat with good roads and campsites. Great place to ride bikes, swim and fish. Most sites are full or partial shade and they seem to have improved many sites adding 50 amp connections. One nice large bathroom with roomy showers and a place to dry and dress while still inside a private stall and one smaller older bathroom that is clean but not as well kept. The light is out over the toilets in the women side, one shower out of order, the other has a tile missing with something stuffed in it and both had plenty of room but have to undress and dress in an open area. No TV reception but ATT cell phone and hot spot worked fine, We love this park and will be back.

This site was very nice. There was a little extra space and seemed roomy. It was level enough we did not have to adjust much. easy walk to the bathrooms, shower house and trash bins. Shower house was very clean. We did not see the park attendants, we tried to check in twice and there was always a note stating they are away. Dump station was not very long, you had to wait in the street if there was more than 2 already in line. The swim area was very clean and sandy. Make sure you have a long water hose, some of them are down from the site a bit.

Love this place we go there usually every year and have a blast the only issue I have is there is not a good ph number to contact someone at the park we went the other day and think we lost our cats and can't get a hold of anyone other then that love the park

- We have combined the Waveland and Outlet gatehouses to more efficiently serve you. We are using the Outlet area gatehouse only. It is located at the top of the hill directly in front of the project office.
- All sites are reservable.
- Park attendants are on duty.
- Certain areas of the lake and parks may close due to high lake levels or storm damage
- Don't Move Firewood: Protect your forests from tree-killing pests by buying your firewood locally and burning it on-site. Visit Dontmovefirewood.org for further information.
