GeneralUSACE is planning the drawdown in a partnership with the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission is expected to begin May 1, 2026, when the lake will be lowered to elevation 374. The lake is expected to reach this elevation by July 25, 2026, and will remain at this elevation until Nov. 1, 2026. The lake will gradually return to elevation 384, depending upon rainfall. During phase two of the drawdown, designated swimming areas within the parks will be closed. Boat access will be limited to a temporary ramp located at Ashley Creek Park. Water activities such as skiing, tubing and the use of personal watercraft will be prohibited. Boaters visiting the lake during this time are encouraged to use extreme caution due to shallow water and submerged hazards. For more information, contact the Nimrod-Blue Mountain Project Office at 479-272-4324.

Beautiful Arkansas gem. Park attendants we awesome. Our dog got off his leash and everyone was so helpful in finding him. Park was clean. Showers and restrooms were clean.we will be back.

No pictures on the site so you really have no idea what you are getting into. The site we picked was site 11 way too close to site 13. The lake is gross

When we got there, some day use people were parked in our spot and were nowhere to be found. Thanks to the awesome volunteers at the front gate, we were able to obtain an even better spot despite the thoughtless and inconsiderate freeloaders that tried to ruin our trip.

Itβs a fantastic campground. But a small warning to anyone thinking about site 50. The wind never stops.
