The location was beautifully situated with access to Blue Mountain Lake on both sides of the campsite. The swimming location had a nice beach with sand and wasn't too crowded. The shower facility were clean along with the rest of the camp area.

Some watch outs for future campers that we learned the hard way...1) Be sure to have 50+ feet of water hose for your connections. The water spigot was shared between camp sites and much further away than other sites I have been too. The same goes for the electric. Our initial spot #14 had the electric outlet too far away for us to reach with our trailer connection. We could have used our extension cord but we forgot our adapter.

That being said, we had so many things not going our way but the one saving grace was the great park ranger who saved the day and let us change campsites so we could have water and power. He was prompt, friendly and a life saver.

I noticed the camp sites in some areas were too close to your neighbors and some areas were louder than others with people partying. To each their own but something to note.

Over all I would stay here again because of overall location on Blue Mountain Lake.

Ants are a big problem, make sure to bring something to keep them out of the camper and boat. Excellent stay and bath house is excellent.

The campsite advertised shade, we did not have shade! At all!! Other than that, loved the park! Friendly staff that stay out of the way. 😊

Waveland Park is absolutely gorgeous, which is why I've given this 4 stars, but the rest...well... We were in site 05, and camped with tents, which we found almost impossible. No soft ground and everything was on an incline. We ended up setting up our tent in the picnic area -- I had to bring in huge rocks to hold down my tent because we couldn't even stake it in. It seems like this may have just been the case for this particular spot, and I highly suggest they close the option for tent camping at 05. It was also directly adjacent to the dock. Which was loud super early in the morning and late at night. Unless you sleep like the dead, I definitely recommend not staying in this area. Some folks were very inconsiderate and partied into the night with loud music and yelling, quiet hours were not observed. Ants are still everywhere.

Absolutely NO ONE wore a mask. Not in their camp, public areas, and not in the bathroom. I was quite upset about that. But it seemed that the majority of campers were the anti-masking kind.

Given all of that, I don't think I would stay here again.

It was nice and clean but I didn’t get to stay very long in the morning because the weather turned bad and I was on my motorcycle and had to keep in front of it.

Campground was nice and quiet. Lots of shade. Lake was flooded so couldn’t do much on the lake. My only complaint with site 43 was that it was very sloped and hard to get my camper level. Other sites didn’t seem to be as steep as ours. Overall a nice place.

I never seen so many anys! They invaded our camper. They were everywhere. Also, they had a lot of damage from a storm that was not cleaned up yet.
