Didn’t do enough research on our site before choosing, honestly. A downside we could only take one vehicle but we packed it down. On a hillside so not level for our tents but we made it work. Came with table, fire pit, and a metal table top thing level for our cooking set up. Close enough to walk down to the boat ramp and fish. Beautiful morning views! Our only complaints would be the tons of ants and distance to the bath house. Of the 2 bath houses we found only one had a women’s shower with water pressure and heated water. They were reasonably clean. When they finish renovations it’s going to be amazing and we will be back!

We stayed in site 3 the view was very beautiful and the site was level and restrooms were clean. However there were many concerns with this campground. The grass at our site was over a foot tall and when we arrived and inspected the site before backing in we realized that we were standing 8 ft from a water moccasin! We didn’t see it at first due to the extreme long grass. The next day I was able to track down someone to cut down the tall grass around our site. The 30 amp breaker was broken fortunately I had a 50 amp adapter. There were several theft incidents while we were there with people getting fishing rods stolen at night. Our neighbors in site 2 said there were rats and they put poison out. The blacktop was washed away at our site so it was gravel. The lake was being drained so no swimming was available on days where the temp was 92. We were able to kayak from the launch ramp but by the end of our stay the lake was getting really low and probably not possible if we had gone a week later. The shower water temp was ice cold in the men’s and super hot in the women’s. Overall I would say that I would not return here . We have stayed at many COE campgrounds and most are really outstanding but not this one. Minimal maintenance here .

We have been coming here for years and this year has been the worst we have ever seen the park. Bathrooms are not be cleaning, grass not be mowing. Our favorite campsite is #28 and most of the time it will be reserved with no one showing up. Needs to be new system on checking in if they don’t show up in 24 hrs it cancels automatically
