When we arrived we met Greg, he was very helpful- in that he noticed I had booked a site with no water! I did not know this he helped me with letting me know what was available how to make a change request online etc etc. Very knowledgeable, helpful and Willing to help! Great work and the time spent camping was fantastic love this campground!

Nice wide campsites, with several loops having water as well. Sites were shaded. Some of the primitive loops seemed to be set up for group camping but for whatever reason the 2nd parking pad on some sites within that loop had boulders blocking them. The shower houses could use some work, I think on one of them out of the 4 stalls on one side, each one was completely different; some had partitions between the shower area and the rest of the room, some had none, some had doors that looked as if they'd been damaged at some point and the door frame patched back together. The beach was also strange; it's like a very very wide boat ramp (slopes down at a 45 degree angle into the water) with a floating divider and sand. The visitor center at the dam also has no gift shop, so you have to buy stuff either at the marina or elsewhere in town.

We enjoyed the park for a week. Very quiet and peaceful. Did some Kayaking right down the hill at the boat ramp, pretty bluffs around the bend and clear waters.
Enjoyed the gravel hiking trails. A bit to hilly for me with a regular bicycle to do much riding.
Collins Creek very beautiful easy hike just across dam by JFK park and has water all yr.
Just a few miles to Walmarts and all your needs.
Need to knows, was disappointed about the Great lake views from site. Nope just trees across the way or another camper. Maybe dead of winter when all the leaves fall you can get a glimpse.
Other is even though it's listed as a very long site the slope of the drive way is very steep by the road.
I was in a 43 ft MH and had to get the front wheels off the ground to level. Not complaining about these two things just wanted to inform someone else about it. 30ft campers would probable be fine.
The sites on the water side are much more level.
Would stay again in a different site.
