Large clean campsite. Enjoyed some of the history of the dam and its electricity generation. The fish hatchery was quite interspersed. Great trails. Blanchard Cavern Springs is a must see. About an hour drive to get there. Well worth the drive.

Our site was N1, which is a pull thru, great site with some sun and shade. The site gets some good afternoon sun, but is shaded in the evening as the sun starts to go down. The site does slope downward, so our front set of steps were higher that we normally like but useable. This is a 50, 30, 20, and water site. They have metal picnic table that are chain to an anchor point, but can be moved some. They also have a hanger for a light and fire ring. This was our fall break, and Sunday and Monday most people had left. With our campground pass we could go into the day use area and to JKF campground as well. JFK campground has some good spots to trout fish. You will need slip sinkers above your swivel, 18" leader with a small hook with a worm and a mini marshmallow. Also, don't forget your fishing license and trout permit, as game wardens do come by. If you want to book a guided fishing trip, we went to Lindsey's Resort and our guide was GREAT!!! The only negative I had was the trip to the dump station was a long one with the honey wagon.

We had fun camping, but the picture of our campsite was very misleading. It was right in front of where everyone turns in so there were lights coming in our tent all night from cars going and coming.
