this site is completely unlevel. We had a pop up, and could not get level. not suitable for campers at all. Due to campground being full, no help from the office either.

The website let me book a spot that my rv wouldn’t fit into. The good folks at the gate were very helpful and let me move into a much better spot, then my rv broke down and I didn’t get to camp at all. Our daughter had bought a camper, their first, and our plan was to camp with them. So we gave them the spot, and drove back and forth, as their site was small too. We had fun hanging out with them and our grandkids. Not really anyone’s fault, just a rough weekend! If the filters on the campsite would flag the length and width of campers, like they should, some of our trouble may have been avoided.
On the positive side, the couple at the gate were top notch. Also, there was one park ranger, her name was Sara I believe, she also helped us. They let me park our camper at the guard shack over the weekend. At the time I was trying to get someone to help fix it, the motor on the front jacks burned up, literally, I blew out the flames! Wound up bringing it home and fixing it myself. We camp at JFK often, and we have been there since this incident, camper is fine and we will come back soon to Damsite. I think we were just trying to get a couple sites together to camp with our kids, on short notice, and the sites that were available were too small. I couldn’t see that by looking at the map, and the website let me book.

We love staying at dam site park on greers ferry lake! Anything and everything you may need is 5 minutes away! Heber Springs has a walmart, gas stations, restaurants, dollar stores, ice machines, places to buy wood and much more! We love jumping off the cliffs behind H 12-16. If you don't want to jump you can still get to the water by using the cliffs as stairs.
