What Guests Are Saying
John F. Kennedy Park offers a beautiful and well-maintained camping experience with spacious, clean sites and friendly staff. Visitors appreciate the peaceful atmosphere, stunning scenery, and excellent fishing opportunities, particularly for rainbow trout. While some minor issues, like parking in front of campsites and occasional facility concerns, were noted, the overall consensus is that it's a favorite destination for camping and relaxation.

Great place to camp, especially for an overnight like we did. Clean. Quiet. Places to walk.

We loved JFK Campground. Spacious, mostly level sites, generous room between sites, and beautiful views of the Little Red River made this one of the best stays at a COE Campground in our experience so far. We camped at JFK in our 35' Brinkley 5th wheel. No trouble maneuvering in and out of the back in sites with the relatively wide access roads and gravel parking pads. We stayed in both sites B4 and B5. Site B4 was more open and easier to back into and B5 had more shade. River access was only about 50 yards away and was a very enjoyable spot to walk or watch the trout fishing action going on. Trails abound and walks through the woods were particulary enjoyable. We were there the latter part of April and the weather was fairly mild with only a few thunderstorms to contend with. Staff were friendly but not obtrusive and we had regular visits from park rangers to keep everything in order. Overall the park was clean and well maintained. We plan on making this campground a regular whenever we are in the area and hoipe to visit again soon.

beautiful park . great place to stay. my only complaint is that the septic system was plugged and we couldn't drain our tanks. Everyone was having trouble and when the gentlemen in front of us told the park attendant at the gate her response was it can't be, just drain it. He tried to explain that it was already on the ground and if he continued to it would destroy the area. she wasn't concerned and didn't even come or send anyone to check .
