We stayed on Loop D. If you want to be secluded a bit more, this is the spot. The showers were OK. The sinks in the men's room (and I assume the women's as well), were press faucets, so you have to hold the water on with one hand while trying to wash with the other... so inconvenient. Also, the pressure was way high on the sink so I several times got water all down the front of me. I hope they will consider changing this type of faucet out. I know it's to conserve water, but it's overkill in this case. If you have an RV with a sink, use it. Also, be sure you book a site with water (not all of the sites in any loop have water hook up). We made the mistake of not getting a site with water hookup. You will want to visit the fish hatchery and the dam. The visitor's center is worth the stop to get some of the history of the area. Also some good shopping in Heber Springs.

Great place to relax and easy access to fishing. There were so many trout that we decided to go somewhere else where they weren't so easy to catch. We caught 30 each in less than three hours. All but one fish was a rainbow.
The only negative is the way the showers are built. The bathhouses are the most inefficient design I have ever encountered. The person who designed these has obviously never been camping.
Rather than having separate partitions for the toilets and the showers, there is one door that gives you private access to the toilet, sink, and shower. If someone is using the showers you are out of luck if you need to poop. To make things worse, the showers are segregated between men and women. Given the layout, this is totally unnecessary since each shower/toilet room is 100% private and has it's own door with a lock.
Suggestion - make the shower "modules" non-gender specific. They have locks on the doors so it really doesn't need to be separate.
Regarless of the shower situation - we will definitely be back!!

All though we didn't get tv reception, the park is very nice. We have Verizon cell service and had no issues.

The campground is accessible via State Route 25, which runs north from Heber Springs.

Arrival & departure
- An attendant will be available during the peak season for assistance.
Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
Site capacity
- Each site allows one wheeled camping unit and up to four tents, with a maximum of 8 occupants.
Vehicles & parking
- The use of ATVs, golf carts, and off-road vehicles is not allowed on the property.
Fires & fuel
- To protect forests, please buy firewood locally and burn it on-site; do not move firewood from other locations.
