Campground grounds are beautiful, lots of old trees and shade. Staff very kind and helpful. The bathrooms and showers are old, somewhat decrepit and need some work. Easy in and out to Little Rock for sightseeing. Looks great for bicycling.

We stay a week or two at this park a couple of times a year because it’s convenient to family and friends.
It’s always mostly full especially on weekends.
For the life of me I don’t understand why they are letting such a popular place go downhill! The last few years has needed mowed so badly. Where is all the money going???!!!

One of the Corps of Engineers' better kept secrets. Gatehouse agent was very helpful.

Park was very clean. I would say, if you're coming in at night, be prepared for it to be very dark, which is good, but it was a little difficult to see and find the spot if you're not familiar with the layout. Overall, very nice and quiet. Everybody seemed pretty friendly. The staff did assist finding the spot while I looked "lost" So overall I would say it was a very good experience. And if you're thinking about staying there. I think you'll enjoy it.

The shower facilities were some of the worst we've encountered! The showers are unisex individual rooms, and one door didn't close, making it unusable. The other rooms had bugs, which I could work around but it was the heat and humidity that was extreme. I know heat and humidity is common in Arkansas in July-that's not my gripe. I had to peel my clothes off to get in the shower but trying to put on clean clothes afterwards was next to impossible. It was literally like taking a shower in a sauna. Fans and air circulation are definitely needed.
