The park has been way overcrowded with no one to patrol the park and make sure campers are not abusing the camping areas. The campsites are being over populated because no one cares how many people occupy one campsite. The campsite bext ro us had pitches 6 tents and more than 20 people at their area. Occupying pavilions without renting, cars driven on grass to get to the picnic area. Needless to say we will not be back.

The campground couldn't have been nicer. Not only can you enjoy the calm, tranquil river but there is so much room between you and the next campsite. It's also heavily shaded so it keeps the days temperate. I truly did not want to leave

We've stayed one night at Maumelle, many times. The park and facilities are nice and well-kept.
However, what has been a terrible experience is dealing with the same awful women at the entry, twice now. She is rude from the minute you step into the office. Interesting, because I am a person of color and as soon as a person of her color walked into the office her personality changed like someone flipped a switch on her. She was OVERLY pleasant all of a sudden. I am not a person who normally looks for this type of behavior and calls it out but it was so blatant and extreme. The first time she was rude I put it down to sometimes people have a bad day but this most recent time would indicate a pattern. She asks unnecessary questions in an accusatory manner and makes statements that are just unpleasant.

The campground is beautiful! Our campsite was well spaced, pretty flat and easy to get in and out of. The campground was well maintained and for the weekend we were there, very well used! The park is clearly a much enjoyed gem of the community with all the shelters rented for the weekend for graduation and birthday parties. Even though the park was full, it didn't feel like it. Our section of the campground was really very peaceful. (Campsite C6). The only reason I rated the park a 4 is the shower house. Please update and repair the shower house! Yikes!
